The Savage Land Mutates are a group of mutated Savage Land natives.
History[]
When Magneto first came to the Savage Land, he kidnapped a group of natives and turned them into the Savage Land Mutates. The villain later abandoned the group and, years later, Mister Sinister came to the prehistoric jungle and took over the group. Sauron, experimented on by Sinister, joined the group at this time. Various members were sent to capture Magneto and Charles Xavier, whom Sinister had lead and trapped in the Savage Land. Eventually, the Mutates helped to bring in Xavier and Magneto but they were defeated by the X-Men.
Sauron later transformed back to Karl Lykos and started to live among the natives and Vertigo left to join the Nasty Boys.
