Manta is a member of the Shi'ar Imperial Guard.
History[]
Manta was among the members of the Imperial Guard that D'Ken Neramani ordered to seek and capture Lilandra Neramani and the M'Kraan Crystal. Manta and the other Guard members turned on D'Ken after he was corrupted by the crystal's power. Manta later helped to arrest Jean Grey, in case the Phoenix Force became too unstable and destroyed populated planets. Manta later took part in the fight between the Guard and the X-Men too decide Jean's fate.
