Joseph MacTaggert is an influential politician in Scotland and ex-husband of Moira MacTaggert.
History[]
Joseph married Moira years ago and they had a son together, Kevin MacTaggert. Joseph and Moira divorced when Kevin was young and Joseph rejected his son completely. Years later, Kevin (now the mutant named Proteus) in a fit of madness, began searching Scotland for Joseph, wanting his love. Joseph had built on his career as a Scottish politician and encountered his son when he was giving a press conference. The X-Men intervened and forced Proteus to retreat. Joseph then allowed the team to use his next conference to bring in Proteus. Joseph then reconciled with his son.
