Plot[]

Force Works's jet crashes near Mandarin's base and every member except War Machine, who sneaks away from the wreckage, is captured by Mandarin. M.O.D.O.K. ties up the Force Works members near the Heart of Darkness, as it needs to absorb life-force to sustain itself. War Machine sneaks into the base and frees Iron Man. M.O.D.O.K. stumbles upon the two heroes but lets them leave when they offer him life support.

The two make it back to the Stark Enterprises facility in Hong Kong, after a quick skirmish with a group of mountain bandits, and they meet up with Dr. Su Yin, who tells them about a bio-energy microprocessor that Mandarin's power-dampening mist would not effect. The microprocessor is inserted into a new suit of armor but before Su Yin can start the armor, a fire starts. The heat turns on the armor and after dealing with the fire, Iron Man flies off to Mandarin's base to stop his plans.

Mandarin has tied up The Hand so that the Heart of Darkness can absorb their life-force as well. Iron Man arrives and starts to fight Mandarin, freeing Hawkeye as well. Connecting himself to the Heart of Darkness, Iron Man feeds back the Mandarin's attack and manages to destroy it, stopping the power-dampening mist. Mandarin puts on a suit of Exo-Armor and fights Iron Man. The battle is ended when Iron Man destroy's the Mandarin's Exo-Armor's circuitry and he leaves Mandarin to the mercy of the Mountain Bandits.
