Fantastic Four

The Fantastic Four are a superhero group who are the main characters of Fantastic Four: The Animated Series.

History

While observing a strange phenomenon, Reed Richards, Susan Storm, Johnathan Storm and Benjamin Grimm were all blasted by cosmic rays and each developed superpowers. Naming themselves 'Mister Fantastic', 'Invisible Woman', 'Human Torch' and the 'Thing', the four decided to use their powers for good and formed the Fantastic Four.

Soon after moving into the Baxter Building, in New York, the FF found their first villain in Puppet Master and also gained a new ally in Alicia Masters, who later became romantically involved with the Thing. The FF also fought the Skrulls, Namor, Silver Surfer and Galactus. The Fantastic Four later fought the Skrulls again when they introduced the Super-Skrull and found their arch-enemy in Doctor Doom. Mole Man provided the groups next challenge while the discovery of the Negative Zone brought the villainy of Annihilus and Blastaar. The FF later had to contend with the combined troubles of Doctor Doom, Silver Surfer and Galactus, when Doom had stolen the Surfer's power.

The Fantastic Four later teamed with Daredevil against Doctor Doom, while their powers were temporarily removed. The FF later had to deal with the Frightful Four and the Inhumans, battling Medusa and Maximus. Some time later, the group had to deal with the Psycho-Man and they teamed with Thor against Ego, the Living Planet, Galactus and his new herald, Terrax. After this, they joined forces with Black Panther against Klaw and fought alongside Thor, Nova and Ghost Rider when Galactus and Terrax returned. When the Hulk came to New York, the FF helped him shake off the influence of Doctor Doom. After another confrontation with the Skrulls and the Super-Skrull, the Fantastic Four were paid a visit by the Impossible Man and later helped to fight off Kree Sentry 213. Soon after, the FF once again stopped Doctor Doom when he stole the Silver Surfer's powers again.
