Plot[]
In the Shi'ar Empire, Deathbird is launching an attack against her sister, Lilandra Neramani, the Empress. As Deathbird and her forces burst into the throne room, it is revealed that Apocalypse is helping her in her battle. However, as soon as Apocalypse reaches Oracle of the Shi'ar Imperial Guard, he abandons Deathbird and goes back to base.
On Earth, Cyclops wonders why he wasn't kidnapped also. Apocalypse reaches the Axis of Time, where Bishop has been stuck, and reveals that he first found the area when he used Cable's time travelling computer and has been exploring it for hundreds of years. At the X-Mansion, Cyclops notes that Apocalypse is only targeting those with telepathic powers and suggests using psychic mutants as bait.
At Archangel's house, Psylocke is caught by the former X-Man, trying to steal from him. The two fight and are halted by the arrival of Wolverine and Shard, who have been sent by the X-Men as Cerebro detected Psylocke's thoughts. Sabretooth and Mystique arrive, intent on capturing Psylocke for Apocalypse and they all fight. Magneto arrives and takes Psylocke before Storm and Gambit come to aid their allies.
At the Axis of Time, Magneto and Mystique meet up and talk. In 3999, Cable and Tyler Summers manage to climb up a cliff face to get to a time machine they need to use to go back in time and fight Apocalypse.
